North Penn students and staff are out with the old and in with the new! A new shocking addition has been made to the building: 25 cyber trucks. The high school announced on Sunday afternoon that the traditional school buses would be replaced with these high tech vehicles starting April 1st.

In a press conference held by administration, the decision to transport students in cyber trucks was met with both criticism and excitement. Some concerned parents cited the lack of safety protocols as their reasoning for hesitation, while others praised the districts’ choice. Others explained that the car just looks plain goofy.

“I can’t take anyone who drives that ridiculous thing seriously,” Kim Bufter, a Lansdale resident, stated. “The other day I was nearly blinded by the headlights of a cyber truck on the way to the grocery store.”

While the adults of the community seem to be polarized by the vehicles, the students have been more outspoken in support for the idea.

“Being in a cyber truck makes me feel like I’m in a spaceship on my way to Mars instead of like um riding to school. I think getting rid of the school buses was um like a fire idea and um it’s really cool,” senior Jason Dolan explained.

The buzz of this news has sent a shockwave not only through the Montgomery County area, but the entire nation. Elon Musk, owner of Tesla and head of the Department of Government Efficiency, has publicly announced that he is willing to cut funding for other public schools in the area in order to give sufficient funding to North Penn. During an interview with the Washington Post he called the district’s act of purchasing cyber trucks quote “incredibly patriotic and American.”

However you feel about cyber trucks, it’s safe to say the car has become quite controversial. Whether you are happy or discontent with the decision, come April all school buses in the North Penn district will be eradicated, and only fools won’t believe it.
