TOWAMENCIN – We never plunged into total darkness in Lansdale, and the clouds had their own ideas when it came to witnessing one of nature’s most powerful phenomena, but nevertheless a near total solar eclipse on Monday afternoon was enough to draw a lot of spectators, intrigue, and some pretty cool views through the lens of eclipse glasses.
North Penn High School handed out free glasses to the students and staff, and Athletic Director Mr. Kyle Berger made sure all the athletes out on the field were equipped with these special glasses, donated by Merck. And from there, it turned into a viewing party around NPHS. While some clouds rolled in and out during the duration of the eclipse, mother mature was kind enough to offer some sunny breaks which led to good viewing.

Awesome photos! I’m excited to see my grandpa’s when he’s done editing them. Space is so cool.
