With many big decisions looming on the horizon for the North Penn School District, voters overwhelmingly made their voice known that they are on board with the current board.
While election results are not yet certified, , as of 6:30am today, there are clear winners in the race for the five open seats on the North Penn School Board. Democrats Elisha Gee, Timothy MacBain, Julianne Ramic, and Cathy Wesley will retain their seats on the board, while Kunbi Rudnick will win a seat for the first time. She replaces Wanda Lewis-Campbell who chose not to run for re-election.
On the Republican side, Vince Altieri, Diana Blystone, Adam Breaux, Michael Jowder, and Liz Vasquez all came up short in total votes. Altieri’s 10,023 in person votes were the second most among all ten candidates, but it was the mail in vote totals that proved to be the major difference in this race, with each of the Democratic candidates receiving close to 7,000 mail in votes, while the highest mail in total for a Republican candidate was Diana Blystone’s 1,741 mail in votes were the highest among Democratic candidates.
As of this morning 1,555 mail in votes from across the entire county still need to be tabulated, which could effect some of the very tight margins in other races across the county, but if any of those votes are from the North Penn School District, they will not affect the final outcomes of the race for School Board. Complete results from all of Montgomery County are available on theĀ Voter Services Website.
