North Penn School Board reorganizes after competitive election
During this month’s North Penn School Board Worksession meeting in the North Penn High School auditorium, the board met for its reorganization after the election in November.
To begin the reorganization, Dr. Elisha Gee was nominated as temporary President and read out the election winners as well as the number of votes they received in the election, the winners being incumbents Tina Stoll with 15,533 votes, Christian Fusco with 15,228 votes, Jonathan Kassa with 14,808 votes, and Al Roesch with 14,225 votes.
Magisterial District Judge Edward Levine administered the oath of office to the four Board members, all of whom took the oath and were sworn back into their positions as School Board directors.
Once back on the stage, the Board voted to nominate Stoll as Board President and Fusco as Board Vice president to reprise their roles as leaders of the Board, both for one-year terms.
“Thank you to all of my fellow directors for your confidence in me to sit in this position once more,” Fusco said gratefully. “I appreciate every moment I’m a part of this team.”
“Thank you all to our families and our supporters, especially all those people that came out to all the meetings to support us, that went out and voted for us,” Stoll expressed, admitting that it was a tough election this year for both campaigns. “We’re very appreciative of all the support that was shown to us and thank you very much.”
Additionally, Roesch was appointed Joint operating committee member for the North Montco Technical Career Center Joint Operating Committee.
All of the board’s assignments for the 2022 year can be found here with minimal changes. Board director Cathy Wesley now shares the Facilities and Operations committee going forward and Roesch now shares the Policy committee going forward.
The next North Penn School Board meeting will be an action meeting on December 16, 2021, at Pennbrook Middle School, at 7 pm.
