News Flash: Rally up for North Penn TV info meeting on the 16th
TOWAMENCIN – Want a shot to deliver the news, cover the big games, edit music and video packages, and be the star of Friday mornings? Be sure to join the NPTV team this upcoming Monday, September 16th, for an informational meeting after school, located right in the TV studio in D-pod.
North Penn Television is kicking off their 2019-2020 school year by covering many events held by or hosted at North Penn. Highlighting the opportunities students have when joining the team are sports games, concerts around the district, school board meetings, and the morning wake up call and newscast every Friday over the school year, “Mornings,” which airs promptly at the first bell of the school day.
“Being a part of NPTV, you have the opportunity to join a true broadcast setting, produce news programs, school board meetings, athletic events, and overall bring to the screen students who do great things. Students have great chances to learn the TV business and be involved in a great thing right here at their own high school. So we urge you to come out and get involved following our info meeting,” stated NPTV co-advisor Mary Faikish.
The meeting will cover information pertaining to the club and coverage opportunities for new members as well as where monthly event signup sheets will be proposed to those in attendance and published on the Google Classroom (pec3fr0).
“Anyone with any interests in the ins and outs of television – even with no experience in TV production – or in the broadcasting classes here at North Penn can join in many ways, and if you are interested in joining the crew, it’s a great time. You get to be at a lot and see a lot of of the action at the North Penn high school and district events. We are all over the place, and students get to find themselves all up in on the action at games, concerts, forums and front row seats to all of that while having a great time with a great crew running the show,” said NPTV co-advisor Bob Gillmer.
Whether you’re looking to be behind the camera, in the control room, covering play-by-play for the big games, or being the face on-air delivering the news, North Penn Television creates opportunities for all students seeking a chance to join a true TV program and join a team while bringing all of North Penn’s amazing events to your living room’s TV screen.
