TOWAMENCIN- The Marching Knights have officially won states for two consecutive years and up against some crazy odds. Both weather and tough competition were a wall that they had to overcome in order to be state champions two years in a row. The Marching Knights faced off and won against Avon Grove in the state championship.

“It’s such a cool thing, you know? To be able to feel all the emotion from the band and everyone else,” said Cole Overton, the senior drum major.

Through their teamwork, the whole group was able to power through the wet field and the mist to be able to come together and achieve a great performance. The Marching Knights won through their score in musical performance which allowed them to pull through with a consecutive state championship.

“We got a really strong program here. Our score in musical performance is what really allowed us to pull through ahead of Avon Grove,” said Mr. Edward Heller, the Marching band director.

With two state wins in a row, the Marching Knights have been consistently doing great especially in the musical performance category. Congratulations to all the members of the Marching Knights and good luck at Nationals.
