Meet the 2018 Homecoming King Candidates
TOWAMENCIN- It’s that time of the year again! Homecoming has finally rolled around, and students are kicking it off with spirit week, wearing their most patriotic attire. We are just days away from the announcement of North Penn’s Class of 2019 King and Queen. Meet this year’s Homecoming King nominees:
Jomo Davis
What activities are you involved in at North Penn?
“I’m an officer in FBLA and I’m the president of our Youth Court. I’m also in Key Club, Salsa Club and AAAC.”
What does being on the court mean to you?
“Being on the court is sick because it means people like me enough to put me on it without any type of campaigning which actually means a lot to me.”
What is an interesting fact about you?
“My interesting fact is that I’m the first person in my immediate family born in America.”
Jared Albano
What activities are you involved in at North Penn?
“I’m the vice president of the Class of 2019 and the vice president of FBLA. I’m also involved in ski and board, FCA, and spikeball club. I also play varsity ice hockey for North Penn.”
What does being on the court mean to you?
“It is an honor to be on homecoming court and I am very excited. Seeing all of the court members have a great time last year made me really eager to be on court. Fortunately, I am.”
What is an interesting fact about you?
“I have been ice skating since I was 4 years old.”
Isaac Lambert
What activities are you involved in at North Penn?
“I am involved in the band playing french horn, I play on the boys volleyball team, I am an active member and leader in the Christian club, and I am a new participant in FCA.”
What does being on the court mean to you?
“Being in the homecoming court is an honor I never would have expected to receive.”
What is an interesting fact about you?
“An interesting fact about me is that I nonstop make puns no matter the situation.”
Sean Leconey
What activities are you involved in at North Penn?
“I am involved in track and field, NHS, key club, class cabinet, and spikeball club.”
What does being on the court mean to you?
“Being on homecoming court still is such a surprise. I’m just happy people recognized my pride for the school.”
What is an interesting fact about you?
“I really love tacos.”
What activities are you involved in at North Penn?
“At North Penn, I am on varsity tennis and am the secretary of the Future Business Leaders of America, the co-founder and co-president of the spikeball club, a member of youth court, a member of key club, the table tennis club, and the salsa club.”
What does being on the court mean to you?
“To me being on the homecoming court means being able to show my school spirit through one of North Penn’s best traditions.”
What is an interesting fact about you?
“An interesting fact about me is that I’ve been to Kenya.”
What activities are you involved in at North Penn?
“I am involved in North Penn’s men’s choir, chamber singers, International Thespian Society, International Friendship Club, and German Club.”
What does being on the court mean to you?
“Being on homecoming court means a lot to me because it really goes to show how far being nice to people can achieve. It made me realize how much of an impact being a nice person can make.”
What is an interesting fact about you?
“I have been an environmental and animal rights activist for the last two years! I do this by removing animal products from my diet and cutting down on waste/single-use plastics. I also attend many vegan seminars, conferences, and protests.”
Julian White
What activities are you involved in at North Penn?
“I’m involved in football, track and FCA.”
What does being on the court mean to you?
“To me being on homecoming court means a lot because there are over a thousand kids in our school and to be voted on a court with just a few people is an honor to me.”
What is an interesting fact about you?
“Something interesting about me is that I’m a pretty good singer. I had a solo in 7th grade.”
