The Keystone Pipeline in South Dakota was shut down on Thursday after a pipe burst, causing the pipeline to lose 210,00 gallons of oil. Officials are investigating the cause of the leak. Zimbabwe’s President Vows to Stay in Power
Zimbabwe’s President Robert Mugabe gave a televised speech Sunday but did not resign, despite a heavy given to him by his own political party. Mugabe instead vowed to stay in power. Mugabe’s party threatened to impeach him if he did not step down by midday Monday. Emmerson Mnangagwa, the former vice president fired by Mugabe earlier this month, was anointed the new party leader. Removing Mugabe as party leader does not dethrone him as Zimbabwe’s President, but it is a clear indication that if Parliament holds a vote on his future, they will have the numbers to impeach him.
