The halftime ceremony will cap off a week of spirit days, pregame partying, and homecoming voting. Here are this year’s candidates for King:

What does being in the Homecoming Court mean to you?

“I feel honored to be nominated for the court, because I feel like it’s a special event where you are given the opportunity to really embrace your school spirit and your school pride. Homecoming is such a great atmosphere, like this week just feels electric with everyone’s participation and everyone’s excitement for the homecoming event itself; it brings a smile to my face just seeing how exuberant and how much everyone cares about this. I feel honored as I’ve said before, since I was nominated for homecoming court, it must mean that I’ve done something to distinguish myself among the student body. I’d like to know that, my way of being, was somehow noticed by other people. And it’s nice to have that affirmation that I’m not just blundering about, making a ruckus, and making a lot of noise but with no impact. It’s nice to know I’ve made an impact somehow.”
