Why are you running for your particular office?
I am running for SGA President because I want to make NPHS a better place for everyone. I love planning, coordinating, and helping out in activities, and as President, I would be able to oversee all plans and events to improve our school and help others love North Penn as much as I do.
Why do you deserve the vote of your peers?
I am the best candidate for this position because I am experienced, dedicated, and ambitious. I have five years of SGA experience including being a Senator for three of those years, an Activities Co-Chair, and President of Penndale Middle School. I have presented workshops and have attended conferences and camps for leadership. I always strive for the best results in everything I do, and will not hesitate to give my all to make our school a great place for the student body.

Jimmy Dooling
Why are you running for your particular office?
The main reason I run for SGA positions is because I have so much fun doing them. I want to bring that fun and happiness to every student at the high school so they can feel like they are part of SGA. As President I will be able to spearhead ideas that I think would be very beneficial to the student body and support ideas of others as well.
Why do you deserve the vote of your peers?
I have always gravitated toward leadership and I feel very comfortable leading others. With my 7 years of student council experience,I also feel qualified to run such a large and important organization that is the North Penn SGA.

Jeremy Prince
Why are you running for your particular office?
I am running for SGA president because I want to make the 2016-17 school year the most amazing and record-breaking year in North Penn history by getting a massive amount of students to attend and participate in school events and bringing our school together as one making new friends and enjoying their high school experience. I also want to gain experience of leadership for a future foundation I am going to start.
Why do you deserve the vote of your peers?
Qualities that I possess that makes me the best candidate would be that I’m a great leader, incredibly responsible, I sacrifice a lot for the better of things, have a fun and joyful character. My work ethic is one of the hardest you’ll see. I’m very optimistic, serious when needed, approachable, easy to talk to, I have lots of confidence and lastly actually care about everyone no matter what.

Maruf Hossain
Why are you running for your particular office?
I believe over the past few years, there has been many great presidents and vice presidents in our school. Unfortunately, I have never seen any great changes or new events come into play. Every year we go through the same cycle of activities. It’s time we see some changes.
Why do you deserve the vote of your peers?
I believe I deserve the vote of my peers because I have great leadership skills and a very outgoing and positive personality. I will work my best to get more students involved in the events and activities. The main goal of my office would be to advertise more effectively and make sure everyone is at least aware of the events.

Make North Penn LIT again.

Candidates for Treasurer

Chris Yang
Why are you running for your particular office?
I am running for treasurer because I will be able to use my experience gained from my first year as treasurer, as well as my knowledge in mathematics, statistics, and economics to help with budgeting.
Why do you deserve the vote of your peers?
As mentioned, I have a year of experience on the job, since I am the current treasurer. In my first year, I helped reduce spending, which reduces costs for the student body. The SGA budget is also currently healthier than ever with $9150.50 as of today, resulting from successful fundraising such as the McManus T-Shirt sales. In my second year, I pledge to continue to make sure all expenditures are made with the student body’s interest in mind.

Albert Wang
Why are you running for your particular office?
I have a strong desire to improve the quality and strength of our already superb student government. I believe that thorough the use of my dedication to student council, creative ability, and experience, I will be able to provide beneficially for the student body via my position.
Why do you deserve the vote of your peers?
I deserve the vote of my peers because of my love for this school and its well being. I will strive to make North Penn the best high school it can be and there is no better way to accomplish this goal than to be a representative of the student body on SGA.

Anissa Gardizy
Why are you running for your particular office?
I am running for recording secretary because I have the experience, drive, and enthusiasm to do the job. Not only do I plan on taking the best notes at meetings, but I plan on creating a strong connection from SGA to my peers.
Why do you deserve the vote of your peers?
Simple. Passion. I would not have devoted 4+ years to do something that I just want on my college application. I have a passion for SGA and that makes me the best candidate. At the end of the day, all candidates can get the job done, but you can expect me to get the job done with a smile on my face.
