Two North Penn High School students are living their dreams as they compete in the first ever Montco Idol competition. NPHS sophomores Becca Grande and Danica Clauser have beaten out more than 20 other hopefuls and secured their spot in the Montco Idol Top 12. Now they need YOUR help to win it all!
Montco Idol has a very similar style to the hit television show, American Idol: contestants are chosen by the judges during the audition process, and then America (or in this case, Montgomery county) votes for their favorite singer to take home the title. The judges of the Montco Idol recently picked their finalists, including Grande and Clauser, and now their fate is in the hands of the community.
The prize? It’s every aspiring singer’s dream: a radio-ready demo recording at Forge Recording Studios and the opportunity to perform live at the Norristown Arts Hill Festival on May 4th.
Voting is a cinch to do! Just go to http://allaroundphilly.upickem.net and click on the Montco Idol link. From there, you can either create an account or log on with your Facebook account and vote for your favorite! You can vote for one contestant each day, but hurry; voting ends Friday, April 19th!
You can also view their audition videos at the website. The links for Becca and Danica’s videos are below:
