Approximately a hundred colleges came out on Thursday March 7th to flaunt their best sides, hand out valuable brochures, and bribe many students with gum, free pens, and fancy business cards. Students and parents that arrived were presented with almost every kind of college experience, from military, to cosmetology, to nursing, specialty schools were highlighted alongside distinct universities. Colleges from as far as Texas and Alabama impressed fair goers with their southern charm.
But if you just planned on staying in state, Montgomery County Community College, Temple University, Pennsylvania State, Drexel University, and Bloomsburg University were just a few seen. Along with the bombardment of college information, the guidance department was on hand to answer any questions to help sort out information.
Many colleges displayed information about offered courses, exclusive activities, and scholarship opportunities. All important aspects to look for, but if you found a college at the college fair or are seriously considering a college, visiting the campus would aid anyone in picturing actual day to day life there. Even though poster boards and brochures show the good points of the school, randomly asking students that go there will help you know the best parts and worst parts of the college. For those who did not have a clue of what college they wanted to attend the college fair was a valuable and informative experience.
