On November 6, North Penn High School’s Junior Reserve Officers’ Training Corps–JROTC–participated in the sixth Veteran’s Day observance at Brittany Pointe. JROTC members helped honor three Veteran residents, who then regaled attendees with personal stories of their own experiences during the celebration.
JROTC has also focused on giving back to the community in preparation for the Thanksgiving holiday.
SKF USA Inc, or the Svenska Kullager Fabriken–a bearing company with a corporate headquarters in Towamencin–supplied nearly 80 baskets full of Thanksgiving items to be donated to less fortunate families of the Carson Valley Children’s Aid Norristown Family Center just in time for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The baskets included all the traditional fixings of a Thanksgiving meal–stuffing, potatoes, gravy, cranberry sauce, and desserts–and were delivered by JROTC students last week.
