Investigating some lesser-known seasonal allergies

Seasonal allergies are very common this time of year.  Just take a look outside and you’ll see why. But there is more to allergies than pollen, mold, and ragweed. Some of these lesser known seasonal allergies can be even worse.

COMMON SEASONAL ALLERGIES YOUR DOCTORS DON’T WARN YOU ABOUT

  • LONG PANTS AFTER THE FIRST WARM DAY

All it takes is one warm and sunny day for everyone to pull out their shorts to wear. However, in our region, it’s all but  guaranteed that the weather will get cold again. After wearing shorts for a day, nobody wants to put pants back on. They are itchy and confining. The best remedy for this pants allergy is to resist the urge of wearing shorts on that one, oddly warm day. Wait until you know the time has truly come to wear shorts.

  • SHORTER NIGHTS ALARM CLOCK SYNDROME

As the days get longer, the nights get shorter. This is when the alarm clock allergy strikes. With days getting longer, staying up later than usual is inevitable. Nothing hurts your ears more than the sound of the alarm going off in the morning. The best solution to this allergy is the snooze button. Use as often as needed.

  • YARD WORK

Not only does yard work induce pollen allergies, it also creates the “I don’t want to do it” allergy. Freetime is scarce at the end of the school year. Adding yard work into the mix leaves little time for fun activities with friends. Your antidote for this is to have your friends come over and help you do yard work. It kills two birds with one stone.

  1. EXAM ALLERGIES

As the end of the school year nears, the exam allergy starts to appear. This could be considered the worst allergy because it impacts all teens. Causing sleepless nights, tiring days, anxiety and the sweats. Once the symptoms start to appear, it may be too late. With some hard work and studying, all of the symptoms should be gone by June 11th.

  • SEVERE SENIORITIS ALLERGY

Although it may only affect approximately ⅓ of our high school’s population, senioritis can be the most debilitating allergy of them all.  At this point, all seniors are ready to get out of high school. This itching can cause seniors to lose focus and think about the summer by skipping classes, ignoring homework and all around not caring. Only a walk across the stage and a flip of the tassel can cure this allergy.

Hopefully these natural remedies will solve your seasonal allergies.
