NORTH WALES – With a menu that changes with the seasons and features ingredients harvested daily from local farms, the Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar lives up to its name. Located in the English Village Shopping Center off Bethlehem Pike in North Wales, the Harvest Seasonal Grill opened in early August and joins the popular University City and Glen Mills locations that have been open since 2010.
Walking into the Harvest Seasonal Grill, you are immediately greeted by a welcoming friendly atmosphere and a cozy décor of stone and wine racks. Although a busy Saturday night, we are immediately seated and introduced to our waiter Vince.
Vince describes the menu and the most popular items which are not only fresh but are also under 500 calories. The menu ranges from starters such as flatbreads, salads and appetizers to fresh seafood, poultry and assorted meats with an autumn seasonal flair. Vegetarian dishes are also available. For a light dinner, Vince recommended sharing one of the five popular flatbreads and an appetizer or two and warned that we needed to save room for desert. With his recommendations in mind, we split a Margherita flatbread and Asian BBQ chicken skewers. The food was quite tasty and did not disappoint. Since we could not decide which dessert cup to select we selected three different ones, the chocolate and salted caramel mousse, peanut butter, and the white chocolate cheese cake dessert cups – all equally delicious.
Fresh, tasty food that is moderately priced and a menu that changes frequently with the seasons make the Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar a must try restaurant. But hurry – this menu will only be around for a few more weeks.
