PHILADELPHIA- This past Saturday the Piazza on North Hancock Street inthe Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia was busting with people, young and old, excited to see some of their favorite bands. The event was radio 104.5’s fourth and final free concert in their annual summer block party series. The lineup included The Airborne Toxic Event, The Unlikely Candidates and American Authors. It was made possible by sponsor State Farm.
The Airborne Toxic Event kicked off the show at approximately 3:45 p.m. They played some of their newest songs off their latest album, Such Hot Blood, which came out this past April, as well as some of their old hits like fan favorite Sometime Around Midnight.
The newbies of the show, indie rock band The Unlikely Candidates were up next. They got the crowd excited when they played their best known song Follow my Feet. The band was discovered only this past March and recently finished recording their debut album.
