Knights next quest: Colin McClarnon
What schools did you apply to?
I’m going to Montgomery County Community College to start off my college experience.
What school did you commit to and why?
I decided on Montco because I want to save money on college and reduce the amount of money I’d have to take out on a loan.
What are your academic/career aspirations?
Any career that I can apply my interest in history I will go for. I’m not sure what exactly but I have my sights set on being a history teacher.
What are you most excited about next year?
I’m excited to start a new chapter in my life and experience some of the things that life has to offer. It may be a challenge at first but I welcome that.
What is your favorite North Penn memory?
My favorite North Penn memory is my first Winter Ball. It was almost nothing like I expected a school dance to be. With the barking music and everyone being so energetic on the dance floor, you could just get sucked into the crowd and be on the dance floor until the dance was over.

What activities are you involved in at North Penn?
“I’ve joined a number of clubs throughout my high school career! I’m currently in SGA for two years now and just became the corresponding secretary! I’ve also been a part of Link Crew which has been so amazing. I love helping and getting to know and helping all the new sophomores! I’ve also recently joined a few other clubs as well that I’m so excited to start!”
What does being on the homecoming court mean to you?
“I am honestly still in disbelief that I’m actually on the hoco court! Coming into sophomore year one of the very first events we all had was hoco and seeing all my senior friends on the court and having a blast was so amazing and I’m just so happy and grateful that I have the opportunity to be a part of it!”
What is one interesting fact about you?
“Something interesting about me is that when I was in my 7th grade, my science class my teacher sort of started this class experiment where they would track my height for every month and everyone was so invested in my growing journey because I was diagnosed with a growth disorder so we ended up tracking my height every month for my entire 3 years of middle school.”
